HILLSDALE, Mich., (July 11, 2009) – Some of the world’s top mini cycle racers will gather in Limes, Belgium,for the annual running of the MX Master Kids – a junior MX Des Nations-styled event showcasing top young talent representing numerous countries from around the world.
This year Cobra will be led into battle by three returning MX Master Kids stars, including Cobra National Plus team members Brandon Smith (Aztec, N.M.) and Tristan Lewis (Locust Grove, Ga.) in the 50cc class, along with seven-year-old Oakley-backed, King Cobra-mounted Noah Aronson out of Tennessee.
In addition, making the trip for the first time this year will be Cobra National Team members Austin Forkner (Richards, Mo.), who’ll be contesting the 65cc class on the Cobra CX65, and eight-year-old Josh Strickland from Zebulon, N.C. Also representing Team USA, though he spends much of his time racing in Mexico, is U.S.-born Tommy “TJ” Rios.
“This event consistently puts Cobra at the forefront of the global mini cycle industry and everyone at Cobra wishes Brandon, Tristan, Noah, Austin, Josh and TJ the ‘Best of luck’ this weekend in Belgium,” said Cobra President Sean Hilbert. “We’ll be following the action closely on the Internet. Started racing in 2005 at the age of 5. In his first season he finishd in 5th place in MRA.
During the second season in 2006, he finished
1st in 50 4-6 Mod
2nd in 50 4-6 Super
3rd in 50 4-6 Stock
Brad was also named RACER OF THE YEAR for 2006 MRA season. In his 3rd season Brad was invited to race in the Montreal Supercross Jr.Challenge, He finished in 4th place. Also, he raced in Florida at the Mini O's where he finished in 16th place.
In the 2008 season, Brad raced in Ponca City, Grand Nationals, in Ponca City, Oklahoma where he raced 3 classes and finished in 23th, 24th, & 26th place.
He also raced The Walton Trans Can Amatuer National where he finished 7th.
In the AMA District 14 Series, Brad finished in 7th place, for the 2008 sesson
Next season (2009) Brad will be racing his 2009 Cobra CX65 and 2009 RM 85 in AMA District 14, Mini O's, Ponca City Amateur National and The Walton Trans Can, Canadian Amateur Nationals.
